Care Carry is a Canadian care management platform that connects families with certified caregivers. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA.

We have designated a Privacy Officer who is responsible for our privacy practices and ensuring compliance with applicable privacy legislation.

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, address, and profile photos. For caregivers, we also collect professional certifications and background check results.

We automatically collect certain information when you use our platform, including device information, IP address, browser type, pages visited, and usage patterns to improve our services.

We use your personal information to provide and improve our care matching services, process bookings and facilitate payments, verify identities and conduct background checks, and generate tax documents (T4 slips) as required by law.

We also use your information to communicate about bookings, payments, and platform updates, provide customer support and resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.

We may share your information with caregivers and families to facilitate bookings (limited to necessary information), with payment processors to handle transactions securely, and with background check providers for safety verification.

We may also share information with tax authorities as required by Canadian tax law, with law enforcement when required by law or to protect safety, and with service providers who assist in operating our platform.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls and authentication measures, and regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

We also provide employee training on privacy and security practices and maintain secure data centers with physical access controls.

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to access a copy of your personal information, request corrections to inaccurate information, and withdraw consent where legally permissible.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and request your data in a structured format for portability purposes.

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Tax-related information is retained for the period required by the Canada Revenue Agency. When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
